Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21 in 1983) is a famous American actress. She is most famously known for her role appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington, Ohio to live with her family in Los Angeles. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version that the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series in the final two episodes as Shannon. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 to 2014. She plays Faith, a groupie who is a muse for celebrities and attracts the attention to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family she is the daughter and elder sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She started her acting career as a teenager with small appearances in the films of her father and starred with her brother in the cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). She also was featured as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. She had a number of commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). After her successful performance as an unmarried mother on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in dramas and comedies such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 In addition, she appeared as an Secret Service Agent in White House Down which was an action-packed thriller released in 2013, as well as a singer as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014) and her role as the main character for the lead role in The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama released in the year 2018. In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut with the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she received The Lost Daughter the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
